SGA CANDIDATE PUTS FACE ON GENERIC MOVIE POSTER TO STAND OUT

Sean Kelly

Quinnipiac experienced nothing short of a political revolution last week as candidate for VP of Something Important, Steve

Sanchez, had the completely original idea to put his face on a generic movie poster to further his campaign.

“It’s just something nobody else is doing,” explains Sanchez. “And aren’t campaigns about standing out from the other candidates?”

All over the university, Sanchez’s face can be seen on Kate Winslet’s body in Titanic with the slogan “Paint me as one of your VPs of SGA”.

“In retrospect, I should have been Leo standing on the balcony shouting “I’m VP of Something Important!” but what can you do?” Nevertheless, his idea to put his face in a movie poster was so unparalleled that students and faculty are willing to let Sanchez receive even more power.

“If Sanchez doesn’t win, I will let him become dictator of the school,” tweeted President of the University, John Lahey with the hashtag #PaintSanchezAsOneOfMyDictators.

Though popular with a substantial amount of students, Sanchez is still missing a key demographic: Fraternity brothers. “Titanic sucks,” explains Colton Price as his brothers of Alpha Papa Johns nodded in agreement. “You know what he should’ve done? Any movie with Mark Wahlberg.”
