STUDENT WAITS FOR BLACK FRIEND’S NOD OF APPROVAL BEFORE SAYING THE N WORD IN A SONG

Marc Regis

Junior John Sullivan was having a fantastic time at a local party until his roommate’s playlist took a turn for the worst. “Everyone was having a good time until “My…uhhh….Hitta” by YG came on. Then things got a little awkward.”

As soon as initial beep boops of the 808 beat blared from the speakers, a hush fell over the crowd. They knew what was at stake: they had 11 seconds to act. Sullivan frantically scanned the party, desperately looking for a person of color.

He finally spied Nathaniel Walton, who has been an African American male for 20 years. The two locked eyes, and just as YG began to launch into his profanity-laced ode to love and loyalty, Walton slowly nodded his head forward.

The party erupted into celebration, yelling the “nigga” in unison. Walton was hailed as the party hero, receiving daps and aggressive shoulder slaps as his reward. Someone grabbed ahold of the playlist and immediately added “Niggas in Paris”, “Shame on a Nigga”, and “Nigga Nigga Nigga Nigga Nigga Nigga” to the playlist.

When asked about his role, Hamilton lowered his head in shame and muttered “I need more black friends”.
