FETTY WAP MEETS EXPECTATIONS

Nate Walsky

Word quickly spread of Fetty Wap’s upcoming performance at Wake the Giant, and how expectations for his singing would be mediocre. After the concert, many students agreed that borderline adequacy was a highlight for the night.

“I was not at all disappointed by the amount of disappointment I experienced,” said junior accounting major Stacy Reynolds. “Despite leaving the concert upset over my ears being subjected to such pain, I can at least say the show went how I thought it would.”

Much to the students surprise, the whole show was not completely subpar, and there were actually some moments that were considered by students to be “okay” and “probably not the worst thing I have ever heard.” According to some students, the best part of the show was actually the intermission between acts when no one was on stage.

“It was really a nice break from being aggressively yelled at by the performers,” quoted freshman Dave Jones, “and they had some great song choices like “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar that were by far more enjoyable than anything the actual performers had to offer.”

Overall, the show was by no means a success, but reports show the student body doesn’t appear to be all that upset after singing along to those three songs everybody knew half of.
