THOUSANDS SHOW UP TO QUAD SCREENING OF “MI:III”

Buckman Theater was overrun last Friday night, as thousands show up to the QU After Dark (QUAD) screening of Mission Impossible 3. The event marks the third consecutive time QUAD has been unprepared for the large turnout.

“It started out great,” event organizer Chelsea Tuttle commented, “but as more and more people showed up, we had to start turning people away. That’s when the situation got desperate.”

Senior FVI major Thomas Frisina was an attendee at the screening, and said it was the best decision he’s made all week.

“I was one of the lucky ones,” Thomas told reporters afterward, “I showed up 3 hours early so I can be as close as possible. I was right under Tom Cruise’s chin the entire time, it was amazing.”

When asked what made these events such a massive success, Tom replied, “I could be out drinking, partying, and having fun with friends, but I’ve realized that I’d rather be watching a mediocre movie with people I don’t know instead.”

“At least one other person made eye contact with me,” Tom continued.

As attendance to these popular events continues to rise, Chelsea expressed some concern. “I don’t know what we’re going to do, these events are already getting out of hand. We’re seriously worried about riots if we can’t get more seating. We may need bouncers to maintain order.”

“But it doesn’t surprise me,” Chelsea added, “Quinnipiac just doesn’t know how to run a successful event.”
