Java John to Fulfill Dream of Roller Disco

Tom Valerio

After countless years of serving the Quinnipiac community, famed Chartwells employee John “Java John” Raccio is finally fulfilling his dream of opening a 1970s themed roller disco on Whitney Avenue in Hamden. The decision came shortly after Raccio unexpectedly won $185 million in the Connecticut lottery.

“As soon as I found out I won the lottery the decision to open a roller disco was a no brainer” said Raccio as he proceeded to light a Cuban cigar and sip on a glass of brandy right in the Mount Carmel café. “I mean, who doesn’t love roller disco? An asshole. That’s who.”

Details on when the roller disco will open have yet to be released, but Raccio expects it to be opened within the next year. Raccio also plans on buying 7,000 more lottery tickets in hopes of winning for a second time.

“When I win the lottery again, I’m going to open a shooting range and an ‘80s arcade right next door to the roller disco. It’s gonna be so dope," he said.

Raccio then got up, sat down on his newly acquired Harley Davidson motorcycle, and drove it right through a glass window while all the students cheered as he rode off into the sunset.
