Foot traffic came to a grinding halt outside of Tator Hall on Thursday morning when freshmen Calvin Jones noticed junior Terry Di Fino’s T-shirt and could not help himself from convulsing into a fit of hilarity.
“The t-shirt said ‘Qunnipiac University Football: Undefeated Since 1929!’ It’s hilarious because we don’t even have a football team!”
Jones collapsed to the pavement, consumed by laughter and soon many other students followed suit. Senior Ralph Ellison, one of the laughter victims, commented “I’ve been seeing that shirt for years, and I just got it. I didn’t realize football and rugby were different things!”
Jones went onto proclaim the shirt a work of a “comic genius”. I know what I’m talking about because I watch a lot of Tosh.0 and South Park. I have a Quad News level authority on humor. This shirt is gold.”
Di Fino commented that “he did not expect to such get a reaction out of shirt,” but his relentless smug face told a different story.
Foot traffic outside Tator Hall is expected to clear as soon as the students see a second, identical t-shirt touting the flawless record of Quinnipiac University, effectively killing the joke.
