Barnacle Wins Up-and-Coming Award, Immediately Disbands

Shortly after winning the prestigious ‘Up and Coming Organization’ award at Quinnipiac’s 2023 Student Org Celebration, the Barnacle will be shutting down for the fifth time in eight years, effective immediately.

“Yea, I just like, don’t have the time for this,” said Ethan Hurwitz, the former-incoming-editor-in-chief. “Plus Mike did 90% of the writing anyways, but he still won’t leave his bunker and Poppins straight up isn’t funny.”

Other award recipients were the Multicultural Student Leadership Council, the Gender and Sexuality Alliance, and the American Sign Language Club, but since they signed their speech it fell on deaf ears.

The Barnacle will surely be remembered as one of the organizations to ever graze Quinnipiac’s campus. And while our tenure may have been short, thankfully no one in their right mind ever took us seriously.

Also, all current and former e-board members must turn in their badge and gun to the Department of Student Life by 7:24 tomorrow morning.
